Let's go directly to the heart of the matter with chronic pain. Every patient we have ever seen has 2 realities and only 2 every single time.
1. Doctors of Medicine can work wonders with emergencies and long term chronic diseases. They have saved the lives of so many of our loved ones. We have some of the finest Doctors of Medicine right here in Hattiesburg. But no single profession has all the answers for all patients in pain. We regularly work together with Doctors of Medicine and frequently refer patients to other specialists when needed. They in turn work with us and regularly refer patients as they know from experience over the years with Peavy Clinic mutual patients and their own studies Chiropractic care is effective. But when it comes to the types of chronic pain we treat, if nothing life threatening is found, then surgery, drugs, painkillers, and extremely painful and potentialy dangerous botox or steroid shots is all they have to offer. Most headaches, migraines, back and neck pain are directly caused by pinched or irritated nerves along the spine. This is called a spinal subluxation. Doctors of Chiropractic are the only Doctors trained, licensed, and experienced at treating this condition. No quantity of drugs or surgery will ever treat this condition. In short, Doctors of Chiropractic do not save lives and Doctors of medicine and surgery do not treat subluxation... only Chiropractors do.
